Soviet cinema needed actors to play the enemy. Who better than the Baltic
actor who physically fit the bill for a Nazi officer? But did the Baltic film
actors unwittingly play another role in portraying evil in Soviet-era propaganda
films? In pointed contrast to what Estonians in the free world were doing,
and paired tonight with the documentary Esto-72, Nazis and Blondes follows
the development of the enemy persona in Soviet film and the role of Baltic
actors in its formulation.

Nende saatuseks oli mängida kurja - „FRITSUD JA BLONDIINID” on film Balti
näitlejate saatusest nõukogude kinokunstis. See on pilguheit ühele lõigule
nõukogude kinoajaloost, milles balti näitlejatel oli täita üks teatud roll. Ühtlasi
on see ka film kunstniku vastutusest ja valikuvõimalustest. Filmi peategelasteks
