The mettle of a people can be tested in the blink of an eye. „Two days in August“ chronicles the steely resolve of the Estonian people fervently manoeuvering in the highly charged political landscape of the Soviet meltdown of 1991. The challenge facing the factions within and outside of the newly forming parliament: to devise and present to the world a coherent and functioning authority for independence and to do so unanimously – the race is against time, before the Soviet Union snuffs it all out.
