“December Heat“ is an action-drama based on the attempted communist coup in
Tallinn on December 1, 1924. Newlyweds Tanel and Anna Rõuk are emigrating from
Estonia, but on the morning of their departure the rebellion hits. Tanel, having just
resigned from the military corps, must swing back into action to save
his wife and his own life. The build-up to the bloody night reveals itself through the
action or inaction of generals and government leaders, culminating with the secret
communiqué that only Tanel can interrupt and save the nation.
"Detsembrikuumus" on ajalooline action-draama 1924. aasta 1. detsembril aset leidnud
kommunistlikust riigipöördekatsest Tallinnas. Filmi peategelasteks on värskelt
abiellunud ja Eestist lahkuda otsustanud Tanel ja Anna Rõuk, kelle ärasõidupäeva hommikul
algab Tallinnas mäss. Paralleelselt Taneli ja Anna draamaga avatakse verise öö
ajaloolised tagamaad ning tegutsevad mitmed Eesti iseseisvuse jaoks olulised tegelased:
kindralid Ernst Põdder ja Johan Unt, riigivanem Karl Akel, teedeminister Karl
Kark.
